Delaware gas prices are continuing to drop.
AAA reported on Friday, Nov. 3, that the average price of gas is $3.101 for regular, down from $3.192 from the previous week and $3.363 a month ago. Last year, the average price was $3.764.
For those who drive diesel-powered vehicles, the Nov. 3 price is $4.260 on average, versus $4.296 a week ago.
Delaware is also lower than the national average. Nationally, the average price is $3.438, down from $3.518 the week before.
Why are gas prices falling?
Oil prices rose after Hamas' surprise attack on Israel, but the spike was far less than the roughly $40 per barrel temporary surge following last year’s invasion of Ukraine by Russia, AAA says. The critical difference is that Russia is a significant oil producer, while Israel and the Palestinian territories are not, it said.
