10 Things You Don't Have to Pay Full Price for This Week - The Cut

We’re down to the final stretch. The holidays are a week away and we know you’re itching to turn on your OOO. The cutoff for gifts to arrive in time has long gone, but that doesn’t mean the shopping has to end. While we’re still keeping an eye out for gifts that will get to you in time (there are a few), we also know that some things will still arrive in time for New Year’s Eve. Didn’t you need a new outfit? Here’s what’s on sale this week.

Few gifts are more foolproof than Clinique’s cult-fave lip color Black Honey. The barely there lipstick is a universally flattering moisturizing tint that anyone will be happy to find in their stocking. Select items at Ulta, including palettes and sets, are up to 40 percent off until December 17, which is also the last day to shop to get your gifts on time.

Somehow New Year’s dressing has become synonymous with sequins and shine, but we think shimmery velvet is a more subtle way to ring in the New Year. Show a little skin in this seasonally appropriate minidress you can pair with tights and the boots of your choice. Urban Outfitters is offering 30 percent of your entire purchase until December 17.

Before you grab that same pair of black boots from last year, consider these booties from Sam Edelman. Coming in a cool pebble gray and an ivory white, the boots have a wide heel and a square toe — they look just as good with dresses as they do peeking out of your wide-leg pants. Up until Christmas Eve, you can get $25 off of these and more items over $100. If you act fast, you’ll get these before Christmas.

If you’re looking for something to wear while you sit on the couch next week, look no further. Aerie’s cozy loungewear is always worth grabbing, especially on sale. This flannel favorite has tons of five-star reviews for how warm and comfy it is. But there’s plenty more on sale at Aerie: Pajamas are half off, and new arrivals, including loungewear, slippers, and underwear, are up to 50 percent off as well.

With 16 modes for quickly straightening all hair types, this straightening brush has racked up thousands of reviews. Reviewers love how it straightens even the thickest hair without frizz, and now it’s almost half off. The retailer is offering deals on beauty until December 21, and while Amazon is one of a few places that can get your last-minute gifts to you on time, we highly recommend not putting this off until the last minute.

Another last-minute gift you can’t go wrong with is slippers. Who doesn’t love comfort? These faux-fur slides are comfy, warm, and, best of all, under $10. Holiday décor, pajamas, gifts, and more are up to 40 percent off at Target, and if you’ve waited until the absolute last minute, you can always grab your gifts in-store.

It’s not too late to buy a coat. If you missed out on grabbing one during cyber-week sales, Nike has a few worth browsing. Consider this puffer that comes equipped with a hood and weather-resistant insulation so you stay warm. While you’re browsing, be sure to shop sneakers and gear for the gym or lounging. The retailer is offering up to 50 percent off select styles until December 21.

Will 2023 be the year you finally bring back the party purse? The bag that’s small enough to bring everywhere and still carries all of your essentials. Start with this one from Charles & Keith that goes from a shoulder bag to a cross-body bag. Hands-free! Grab this and maybe some party shoes on sale. The brand is offering up to 50 percent off select styles.

Rihanna is widely regarded as one of the best-smelling celebrities, so naturally, she created a fragrance that captures her essence so you can smell just as good. Fenty Beauty’s eau de parfum has notes of magnolia, musk, and blueberry for a warm floral scent. Beauty Insiders can use the code FRAGRANCE20 for 20 percent off full-size fragrances online and in-store until December 24.

Because everyone can use a cooler mug, we recommend browsing Ssense’s home sale section while you’re shopping for designer shoes and winter gear. This cool-blue ceramic mug has scalloping details on the handle and makes a fun addition to the kitchen, or keep it on a desk filled with pens and pencils.
